At OnPix we understand the importance of being actively involved and supportive of our local business community.
OnPix is a proud member of many organisations, providing multiple avenues for networking and keeping in touch with developments in our community. We also feel it is integral to communicate and positively interact with our academic community; in time this is where the business future lies.
| Launceston Chamber of Commerce |

|
The business community in Launceston and the Tamar Valley is characterised by its diversity and breadth. The Chamber of Commerce provides a forum for everyone from large companies to small family businesses and private members. |
Launceston Chamber of Commerce members meet, learn, and socialise together at over 30 functions each year. Deals are done, refreshments are savoured, business friendships are formed and issues affecting our region are discussed.
The Chamber is parochial in its support of Northern Tasmania in terms of promoting sustainable and appropriate economic development and social wellbeing for the region. |
| University of Tasmania Internship |

|
OnPix is actively involved with the University of Tasmania, recently being a part of the Business Faculty Corporate Internship program, run through the Launceston campus. |
This program entails a student undertaking a semester of project-oriented study, which integrates work and learning. The student was physically located at OnPix, and specific work projects were determined in collaboration with the University academic co-ordinator and the student.
The program not only recognises and builds on skills, capabilities and knowledge which students have acquired in their first two years of study, but also aims to increase awareness and experience of the wider social, cultural and global environment of the workplace. It provides a learning situation in the real world of business. |
| K2B Marketing Graduate Program |

|
In 2005 OnPix was involved in the Knowledge 2 business (K2B) program, which seeks to address the lack of marketing knowledge and know-how within the Tasmanian ICT and Science and Technology industries. |
K2B is a graduate employment and skills development program which started in 2004, specifically developed for ICT businesses. The program is now open to both Tasmanian based ICT companies and Science and Technology companies.
K2B is not about developing brochures and marketing materials; it is about showing Tasmanian businesses that marketing is a strategic tool which can assist in the identification and building of new markets.
The program also addresses the marketing skills shortage within Tasmania, by providing commercial experience in the ICT and Science and Technology industries to recent TAFE and University marketing graduates. |
| Launceston ICT Group |

|
The Launceston ICT Group aims to provide a forum in which local ICT company CEOs can air their views and share ideas in a common but closed environment. |
As a non-political group they are attempting to grow and improve the standing of our ICT Sector in the North of the State and constructively bridge some of the gaps between State, Federal, and Local Government on issues that affect the ICT industry in general. |
